Mignon du Preez is a South African cricketer who started playing at the age of 4. Her brother was playing in a Mini Cricket tournament and father was the coach of his brother’s Under-7 team. She replaced one of the unavailable guys in the team and became ‘Best Batswoman of the Day’. She then will in love with this sport.

Mignon believes the talent was given by God and she is using it to best of her abilities. The right-handed batsman made her debut for the South Africa national women’s cricket team in January 2007 when she was seventeen. Du Preez was women’s team captain in all 3 forms of cricket Test, ODI and Twenty20 from 2007 to 2018. She was appointed to the 2018–19 Women’s Big Bash League season in the Melbourne Stars team in November 2018.
