A lethal off-spinner and an aggressive left handed batsman, Sunil Narine is a Trinidadian cricketer who represents West Indies in international cricket. He has also represented West Indies U-19 and earned a call to Trinidad and Tobago squad after taking all ten wickets in a trial match in 2009.

One of the key performers in West Indies winning World T20 title in 2012 and Kolkata Knight Riders’ two title victories in 2012 and 2014, Narine has a bag full of variations which include – carrom ball, knuckle ball, doosra and regular off spin. A sure shot in ODI and T20s, Narine is yet to make a mark in Test cricket.

• He is the all-time leading wicket-taker bowler in Champions League T20 history. He took 39 wickets.
• On 8 March 2014, Sunil Narine topped the ICC Twenty20 rankings of bowlers with 784 points.
• Narine is the only bowler in the world to bowl a maiden Super Over in T20.

• His bowling action has been under scanner a number of times ranging from year 2017- 2018.
• He has faced several bans after his bowling action was found illegal. However, almost all of his bans have been removed now.
• He missed out the 2014 Champions League Twenty20 final match due to being suspended for an illegal action over 15 degrees.

• His first ODI wicket is Virat Kohli. He picked him in Motera on 2011.
• Sunil Narine got his name after Sunil Gavaskar. His father was a big fan of Sunil Gavaskar.
• He is the only bowler to bowl a maiden super over in T20 cricket.
• Narine has also smashed 4 consecutive maximums in an ODI against Glenn Maxwell
• Narine took all ten wickets in a trial match and earned his maiden call up to Trinidad and Tobago in 2009.
