Indian cricketer, Yashasvi Jaiswal plays for India Under-19s and Mumbai. He was highlighted when he became the youngest player in the world to score a List A double century. He is from Uttar Pradesh but moved to Mumbai at the age of 11 years to pursue his dream of playing for the Indian Cricket Team. He belongs to a poor family and worked at a dairy shop where he was allowed to work and sleep. Later, he secured a place in the Muslim United Cricket Club in Azad Maidan, Mumbai.
Yashasvi then played regular cricket, yet he used to sleep in the gardeners’ tent in the ground and sell fruits and pani-puri in the evening. Local coach, Jwala Singh recognized his talent and offered to take care and provide training. After that, Yashasvi took part in the Harris Shield Tournament which was a local school tournament. He got his name registered in the Limca Book of World Records, for the “Most Runs and Wickets in a school cricket match.” Jwala Singh is the legal guardian of Yashasvi and responsible for all his decision. In no time, he got selected in the Mumbai Under-16 team, and eventually in India’s Under-19 team.
