Daryl Michell T20 World Cup innings vs England

Daryl Mitchell played one of the best knocks of his career in the T20 World Cup semi-final against England. Chasing the target of 167 runs, New Zealand batters struggled to find their timing right and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. While the wickets kept falling at the one end, Michell despite struggling at first, held one end and kept ticking the scoreboard.

Just when it seemed New Zealand are falling apart, Daryl Mitchell took English bowlers to cleaners and carved his way through his maiden half-century. With 20 runs needed off the last two overs, the right-handed batter smashed Chris Woakes for two sixes and took his team home with one over to spare. He was also adjudged the player of the match for his unbeaten knock of 72 runs that found his team in the final.
