Kevin Sinclair is a talented bowling all-rounder from Guyana, West Indies. He is an off-spin bowler and is a handy lower-order batter. Sinclair made his international debut in March 2021.

Kevin Sinclair is the grandson of former Berbice cricketer Carlton Sinclair. His grandfather has played a significant role in his cricketing career. 

Career

Kevin Sinclair was just seven years old when he joined the Police Sports Club, following in his grandfather’s footsteps. The 22-year-old went on to represent the Police Sports Club until 2016. 

Sinclair also captained Police Sports Club Under-15, Berbice Under-17, and Under-19 teams. At the same time, he also played for Guyana’s age cricket sides, where he was the vice-captain for the Guyana Under-19 team.  

Kevin Sinclair had an outstanding 2018 domestic season where he ended as the leading wicket-taker in the Cricket West Indies Regional Under-19 tournament. This helped him to earn a call-up from the Guyana Jaguars team. Ahead of the 2018-19 Cricket West Indies Four-Day Tournament, the Jaguars invited him to train with them.

Sinclair then made his List A debut in the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament, where he turned out for the eventual champions, West Indies Emerging Team. The off-spinner ended the tournament as the most economical bowler with 13 wickets with an economy rate of 2.87.

Sinclair’s first-class debut came in January 2020 for the Guyana Jaguars, and in August 2020, he played his first match in the Caribbean Premier League for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The off-spinner’s international T20 call-up came in March 2021 against Sri Lanka. As of August 2022, Sinclair has appeared in six T20Is and is yet to make his ODI debut.
