An Olympic gold-medalist, a pioneer to the budding wrestlers, Kurt Steven Angle is a retired professional and an amateur wrestler. he started his pro-wrestling career in Extreme Championship Wrestling in the year 1996.
He signed with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in the year 1998 and soon became a mainstay in the industry. He took huge heaps in his career and rapidly became the face of the company. He won his first WWF Championship in 2000 just after 2 years of his debut.
Talking about his current WWE status, he is currently working as a backstage consultant with the WWE and also had a fair run as the General manager of Raw for almost an year or so.
He returned to WWE in the year 2017 after 11 long years. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017 and also was given the General Manager post for WWE’s ‘Raw’ brand.
He wasn’t much active as a wrestler on his return but had few matches including his retirement match against Baron Corbin.
