Matthew Potts Biography

On the back of a brilliant County Championship season, Matthew Potts earned his maiden Test call-up and made his debut against New Zealand in June 2022 at the iconic Lord’s. He picked up four wickets in the very first innings and three in the second, making an impressive debut.

His First-Class debut came in 2017 while he made his first appearance in List A and T20 cricket in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Potts has represented England Under-19 and risen through the ranks. He has also represented Durham 2nd XI and also plays for Durham. The 23-year-old played for the Northern SuperChargers in the inaugural edition of The Hundred and has also plied his trade for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League
