Mithali is one of those Indian female cricketers who have played both Test and limited overs cricket. Mithali is the leading run scorer in Women ODI’s with 6,373  runs at an average of 50.18. She has appeared in 10 Test matches and scored 663 runs at an average of 51 with 214 being her highest score.

• She is the highest run-getter in the history of women cricket, she achieved this feat in July 2017 eclipsing England’s Charlotte Edwards as her tally was of 5992 runs.
• Only women cricketer in the world to score 7 half-centuries on the trot in ODIs.

• Mithali was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan but she hails from a Tamil family.
