Nikhat Zareen grabbed the headlines becoming world boxing champion at the age of 26. The boxer is an admiration for every woman across the nation as she hailed from a very conservative society and braved all the odds including the social hurdle of being a Muslim girl and set new records of achievement.

Nikhat was introduced to boxing by her father and was trained by him for several years. However, 2009 proved to be a turning point of her life when she was introduced into Sports Authority of India and was trained by IV Rao, a Dronacharya awardee.
She worked hard and had the first taste of success in 2010 when she was crowned the golden best boxer in Erode Nationals. Currently, Zareen has been appointed as the staff officer in the Bank of India, zonal office at AC Guards, Hyderabad.
