In what could be one of the most earth-shattering trades in IPL history, inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals (RR) are reportedly in advanced talks to trade their long-time captain, Sanju Samson, to 5-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in exchange for the all-round duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. If finalized, the deal would mark a dramatic reshuffling of star power ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
Sanju Samson has been the face of Rajasthan Royals since 2021, leading the franchise with flair and consistency. His potential move to CSK would not only bolster their top-order batting but also signal a shift in leadership dynamics, especially with MS Dhoni’s retirement and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s recent elevation as captain.
For RR, acquiring Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran would inject all-round depth and experience into their squad.
