Shivam Pankaj Mavi (Indian Cricketer)
One of the promising future talents of the Indian cricket team, Shivam Mavi is yet to make his international appearance for the Men in Blue. The 19 year old was named in the 2018 Under 19 Cricket World Cup squad for India in December 2017. The next month, that is January 2018, he was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction of 2018. He made his Indian Premier League debut in April 2018.
Shivam Mavi was born on November 26, 1998 in the city of Noida, Uttar Pradesh and he gas been passionate for cricket since he was a little child. He has represented India Under 19, Kolkata Knight Riders abd Uttar Pradesh Under 19. He is always focused on the ground and one of the quieter players on the team sheet. Like his idol, Dale Steyn he also despises getting hit for a boundary even when he is practicing in the nets. He is believed to be the torch bearer of the swing bowlers for the future, walking on the same footsteps of Praveen Kumar and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. However his calm demeanor should not be taken lightly because with the ball in his hand, he gets very scary for the batsmen. “When I would bowl a few short balls and then do a reverse, the batsman would get scared and try avoiding facing me in the game, that’s the fun part for me with the ball,” said Shivam in an interview in January after being grabbed by Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL 2018 campaign.
