Why doesn’t Orange Cap matter to Virat Kohli?

Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 92 helped him surpass Suresh Raina to become the highest run-getter in the history of the Indian Premier League and earn the orange cap for amassing 204 runs in 4 matches.

Altogether, it was a night of feats for Virat Kohli but unfortunately, RCB’s third loss in four games left the skipper disappointed.

Showing his disappointment over the loss Kohli said, “Mumbai played well. I don’t feel like wearing it right now because it really doesn’t matter. ”

“We got a good start but threw it away. We need to think over our dismissals and plan better,” he added.

Virat Kohli managed to stand firm on the pitch till the end of the innings as RCB kept losing wickets. He tried to narrow the margin of loss and maintain the net run rate.

Praising the Mumbai Indians on their win he said, “In the end, we tried to make sure that the run-rate doesn’t take a hit, but Mumbai bowled really well. We didn’t get any chances, we tried to bowl well but they counter-attacked well.”
