The Great Khali left the WWE in 2014 after his contract with the company expired. There were several factors that contributed to his departure, including the WWE’s failure to expand its presence in India as much as it had hoped.
Khali had been a major part of the WWE’s push to establish a foothold in the Indian market. He was the company’s first Indian-born wrestler, and his popularity in the country helped to generate interest in the WWE’s brand. However, despite these efforts, the WWE was not able to achieve the level of success it had hoped for in India, and this may have played a role in Khali’s departure.
In addition to this, Khali’s advancing age and declining physical condition may have also been factors in his departure from the WWE. He had been with the company for several years and had suffered a number of injuries during that time, including knee and head injuries that forced him to take time off from wrestling.
Overall, while the exact reasons for Khali’s departure from the WWE are not known, it appears that a combination of factors, including the company’s failure to expand in India and Khali’s declining physical condition, may have played a role in his exit from the company.
