Delhi Dynamos is still searching for their first home win this season while Kerala haven’t won an away game.
Delhi Dynamos camp will be in relief as they managed to end their six-match run of defeats. Winning a point away from home would have boosted their confidence as would have scoring twice against a top side in Chennaiyin FC.
Delhi is one of the few teams in the ISL whose home form has been woeful. In their three matches at Delhi, they suffered as many defeats and have leaked in eight goals.
While critics may have derided their chances of making it into the top four, what works to their advantage is that they play six of their final 10 matches at home. However, for it to be considered an advantage, they need to start winning.
The first opportunity comes against Kerala Blasters, who aren’t in the best of forms either. What worked for Delhi from their 2-2 draw in Chennai was their ability to come-back. David Nghaite, Nandhakumar and Romeo Fernandes were lively for the Delhi outfit and the introduction of Kalu Uche and Guyon Fernandes only bolstered their attack.

Seeing the last six performances of both the teams, it is expected that Kerala Blasters FC will have the upper hand in Wednesday’s game. Kerala Blasters FC is the better team statistically on the sheets and on the ground however, they have failed to win an away game in this edition of ISL so it would be of great concern for the Keralites to rewrite their fate against a team who finally managed to stop their six matches long defeat in their last game against Chennaiyin FC. Delhi Dynamos currently being the last team on the points table have not much of expectations from themselves but their 2 goals in their last match against one of the best teams so far in ISL surely would have boosted their confidence for this game and as it is their home match, they would try to convert this game in a winning game for them.
