Who won today’s IPL match?: The 24th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 saw Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans squaring off with each other at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. After suffering a disappointing loss in their last encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Hardik Pandya-led side then dominated the Rajasthan based-franchise to return back to winning ways and register their fourth win of the season and reclaim the top spot on points table.
Asked to bat first, Gujarat Titans had a forgettable start as they first lost Matthew Wade (12) due to a run out in the second over and then Shubman Gill (13) too was back in the hut early as GT found themselves tottering at 15/2. Skipper Hardik Pandya then stood tall for his team and led from the front. The all-rounder scored unbeaten 87 runs and helped his side post a mammoth total of 192 runs on the board. He was complimented well by Abhinav Manohar, who scored 43 runs, and David Miller, who smashed 31 runs in just 14 balls.

Chasing the target, although Rajasthan Royals lost three wickets in the power play, Jos Buttler (54) took them off the flyer by scoring a half-century inside the power play. But after that nothing went in RR’s way as the skipper Sanju Samson was run out for 11 runs. Rassie van der Dussen (6) and Shimron Hetymer followed him soon, that leaving RR tumbling at 116/6. GT then kept taking wickets at regular intervals to restrict the opposition to 155/9 and win the match by 37 runs.
Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya was awarded Man of the Match in today’s encounter against Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai. The flamboyant all-rounder displayed sensational skills in three departments of the game. Batting first, he scored unbeaten 87 runs to take his side to a total of 192 runs after a sloppy start. He scored 8 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. In the field, he was electric as he sent Sanju Samson back into the hut with the direct hit. He also took one wicket with the ball and returned with the figures of 1/18.

The next match of the IPL 2022 is scheduled to take place between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It will be 25th match of the tournament and will take place at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
