1. Jasprit Bumrah

At present, Jasprit Bumrah is India’s lead pacer and spearhead across formats. He is ranked third in the ICC Test bowlers rankings, first in the ODI rankings. With his unorthodox action, he has also developed great skills apart from also working on his pace. Bumrah is the go-to man for India with the ball be it in any format and is rated amongst the top bowlers in world cricket at the moment.

2. Mohammad Shami

Mohammad Shami has emerged as one of India’s prime pacers across formats. He has the ability to adapt well to different formats. Shami’s ability to swing the ball both ways, deliver variations and bowl at an extreme pace makes him one of the best fast bowlers in the world at present. Along with Bumrah, Shami is a key weapon in India’s pace attack.

3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is known for his ability to swing the ball and is a pacer who relies on accuracy rather than extreme pace. He has been impressive and developed variations such as the knuckle ball and versions of the slower delivery over the years. Although not in reckoning for Test cricket at the moment, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is still one of the finest bowlers in white-ball cricket.

4. Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav is known for his ability to consistently bowl at high pace and is one of those Indian bowlers who can hit the 150 kmph + mark. He has been in and out of the India team but has represented the country in all three formats. Umesh can generate raw and genuine pace naturally, which is a strength for any fast bowler to have.

Shardul Thakur may not be the most threatening fast bowler by his looks but is someone who has developed the ability to swing the ball both ways. He is also capable of keeping his seam positions while keeping up with pace as well. Shardul may not be a glittery fast bowler but has proven to be effective, particularly in the Test and One-day formats.

6. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is also among those Indian fast bowlers who can bowl at a good pace along with subtle variations. Starting as a bowler for white-ball cricket, Siraj has gone on to develop into a rather effective red-ball bowler and is a key member of India’s pace attack when it comes to Test cricket in the recent past.
