India ODI squad for NZ vs IND: In a big news update, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have named the India ODI squad for the upcoming tour to New Zealand which is scheduled to take place just after the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022. India will be locking horns with New Zealand in a three-match T20I series with the first T20I match scheduled to begin on 18 November, 2022 in Wellington. Both these sides will then also take on each other in a three-match ODI series as well.

Team India have also announced a 16-man squad for the three ODI games against New Zealand and senior opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan will once again captain the national side in the absence of senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Interestingly, Rishabh Pant has been named the vice-captain for the ODI team as well while Hardik Pandya who has been appointed as the T20I captain for this Kiwi tour, has not been included in the ODI squad. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson and Deepak Hooda have been included in the squad.

Right-arm speedster Kuldeep Sen who had an impressive stint with the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022, has earned his maiden ODI call-up to the Indian team for the New Zealand tour while Umran Malik also finds a spot. The national selectors have named as many as four spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Shahbaz Ahmed and Washington Sundar. On the other hand, Deepak Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Shardul Thakur are the three premier pace bowlers alongside Kuldeep Sen and Umran Malik.
