India Test Squad for IND vs BAN: In a massive breaking news update, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the India Test squad for the upcoming tour to Bangladesh scheduled to begin in December, 2022. After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2022 and New Zealand, India is scheduled to visit Bangladesh where they will be playing a total of three ODI matches and a short two-match Test series. The India vs Bangladesh first Test match will be starting 14 December, 2022 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram while the second Test is scheduled to start from 22 December, 2022 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

India have named a 16-member squad for the two Test matches against Bangladesh and regular captain Rohit Sharma will be making a comeback to the national side after resting for the Kiwi tour. KL Rahul has been named the vice-captain of the Test team while both Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara are also part of the squad. The national selectors have named Rishabh Pant and KS Bharat as the two wicket-keepers in the side while Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill have also been included. Interestingly, Hanuma Vihari has not been included in this Test squad.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav are the three spinners alongside Ravindra Jadeja who will be making a comeback after having recovered from a knee injury. India’s pace bowling attack comprises of Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav for the Bangladesh tour.
