Cameron Green Injury AUS vs SA: In an important news update, Australia’s premier all-rounder Cameron Green has been ruled out for the upcoming third and final Test match against South Africa scheduled to start from 4 January, 2023 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. Australia have already sealed the three-match Test series in their favour after having registered brilliant victories in the opening two Test matches and have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0.
Aussie all-rounder Cameron Green fractured his right index finger while batting during the Australia vs South Africa 2nd Test match. However, after taking some painkillers, the right-hander came out to bat and even scored a fighting half-century which was followed by an amazing maiden five-wicket haul in the first innings that rattled South Africa for a below-par total of 189 runs. Green was not able to bowl in the second innings of the Test match due to the same injury. With the all-rounder set to miss the third Test starting from Wednesday, Australia have included the duo of Matt Renshaw and Ashton Agar in the Test squad.
The pitch at the Sydney Cricket Ground has been helpful for the spinners as seen over the years and this can force the Australian team to play left-arm spinner Ashton Agar in the playing XI as the all-round option during the third Test against South Africa.
