The massive breaking news development coming from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) camp is that their senior wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock is not available for selection for their opening encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) against the Delhi Capitals (DC) being hosted at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. While making their debut in the IPL 2022 season, the Lucknow Super Giants managed to perform really well under pressure and also qualified for the playoffs.
It is huge blow for the Lucknow Super Giants as their overseas wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock will not be playing LSG vs DC IPL 2023 match on Saturday as he is currently part of the South Africa ODI team involved in a series against Netherlands. The Proteas left-handed opener will only be available in IPL 2023 after 2 April, 2023. De Kock had an incredible performance with the bat during IPL 2022 for the Lucknow Super Giants team where he notched up a total of over 500 runs from 15 matches at a fine strike-rate of close to 150 that included as many as 3 fifties and a century as well. In the absence of Quinton, LSG’s newest recruit Nicholas Pooran will be their wicket-keeper against Delhi Capitals.
