The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to commence on June 12, 2026, at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground with hosts England taking on Sri Lanka in a Group B fixture. The tenth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup is going to be bigger and better with as many as 12 teams competing in the tournament, the most in any edition of the World Cup. The 12 teams have been divided into two groups of 6 teams each, namely Group A (Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Netherlands, South Africa, and India) and Group B (England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland, and Scotland).

The Whiteferns (New Zealand Women) will enter the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 as the reigning champions, having defeated the Proteas Women in the final of the 2024 edition played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. With the 2026 edition to be grander, a total of 7 venues will be used across the host nation, England, during the tournament. Edgbaston, Old Trafford, Headingley, Hampshire Bowl, Bristol County Ground, The Oval, and the iconic Lord’s are the venues finalized for the marquee event. With less than a month remaining for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to kick off, take a look at the teams that have locked their squads for the tournament.
