Next up is the Round 4, Group B match which will be contested between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. Gujarat have started their campaign impressively having won both their games which includes a super-over match as well.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu lost their opening game to Rajasthan by a heavy margin of 53 runs. Both their bowlers and batters flattered on the day and Rajasthan who were the runners-up last season made it big. Batting first, Rajasthan scored a formidable 181 led by the skipper Mahipal Lomror himself who got an unbeaten 78 to his name.
Tamil Nadu never looked in the chase as none of their batsmen was able to get a big score and were eventually bowled out for a modest 128 in 19.5 overs.
Gujarat is clearly ahead in their game and won’t be an easy challenge for Tamil Nadu who are eyeing their first win of the season.
