After a closely-fought low-scoring affair that went Aussie way, India will be keen to win the second T20I to draw the series level against Australia. Visakhapatnam T20I had too much of turbulence but in the end, Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins managed 14 runs in the last over to snatch victory from India.
Now, India will be in an all-in situation when they face Australia in Bengaluru on Wednesday. India’s record at M Chinnaswamy stadium is not daunting, but the fact that they have won their last two of their last T20Is at the venue would certainly boost the confidence to the team.
Glenn Maxwell hailed the bowlers for keeping Indian batsmen under a tight leash. “If you are holding MS to one boundary in the death overs, it is a good effort and we would want to carry forward the winning momentum.”
“Once you step in to bowl the last over in a close game, the chances are 50-50. You try your best and you are clear in your execution but on a few days it works while on other days, it doesn’t,” Jasprit Bumrah said.
