Windies vs England Playerzpot Prediction 3rd ODI Preview

Shimron Hetmyer and Cottrell steered Windies to win over England in the second ODI as the hosts levelled the series. Hetmyer set the stage for Windies with a century and Cottrell returned five-for to hand-over the hosts a win by 26 runs.

The wheels come off for England batting

England needed 62 runs off 61 balls at the end of the 40th over before Jason Holder decided to step in. A decent effort from Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler had almost make a win for England a cake walk but Holder struck twice in two balls sending Jos Buttler and Tom Curran back to pavilion in two successive deliveries. Following that, Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid added 27 runs to the board but Sheldon Cottrell claimed his first five-for in ODIs to snatch the victory from the visitors.

We failed to nail it on the top: Eoin Morgan

“You really need to nail it on the top in international cricket. We failed to do that today,” said skipper Eoin Morgan expressing his disappointment with the lack of substantial partnerships in their innings.

we try to keep our best foot forward: Hetmyer

“We are taking one step at a time. We are a on a rise as a team and we look forward to putting a collective team effort which would help us win games in the future as well.”
