Members of the Indian cricket team met Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Tuesday at his residence ahead of the Sydney Test. On this occasion, Kohli was accompanied by his wife Anushka Sharma.

After the formal introductions, the players were asked to speak a few words. The Indian captain was welcomed by Australia’s minister of sports Bridget McKenzie. While introducing Kohli, she admitted that she has a big crush on the Indian batsman and his passion is exciting to watch.

She also hoped that the Indian captain will lose the Sydney Test. Kohli was certainly delighted to hear the praise and he responded by saying that it was a lovely introduction.

India lead the series 2-1

Team India will be entering the Sydney Test high on confidence as they lead the series 2-1. Kohli and his men have a historic chance to win a Test series in Australia.

India won the first Test at Adelaide while Australia came back strongly at Perth to win the second Test. But courtesy of solid batting by Cheteshwar Pujara and some fine bowling in particular by Jasprit Bumrah, India won the third Test to lead the series 2-1.

Two spinners at Sydney?

India have included three spinners for the Sydney Test which is a strong indication that the team management will play two spinners. KL Rahul who was dropped for the third Test makes a comeback as well to fill Rohit Sharma’s place.
