Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has made it clear that his team is not satisfied with one Test win and they came to Australia to have fun and with positive mindset. He also claimed that his bowlers are now faster and fitter and he feels proud to have taken 20 wickets in an away Test with only bowlers.

Performance of bowlers a positive sign: Kohli

The Indian captain spoke about the performance of his bowlers after registering a famous win at Adelaide. He said that this win is a very positive sign especially with the Kookaburra.

He noted that they have not been able to sustain that pressure long enough in the past. But the fact that the bowlers are fitter and they have more pace on it for longer periods, and their job at certain times is just to contain.

He thinks that to pick 20 wickets with four bowlers, away from home, especially with a ball that does not offer you that much is something they can be proud of.

Can’t be happy with one Test match: Kohli

At the same time he noted that they have to build on this. They can’t be happy with just one Test match and made it clear that they will not be satisfied with just one Test.

Kohli explained that they are happy about this victory but this is something they need to build on. He reminded that they have won the last series in India when they played against Australia. He noted that they have come out to have fun, play good cricket, and be positive.

He pointed out that day one went against them but the way Pujara brought India back into the game, they did not let up again for the remaining four days.

But the Indian captain feels that this time around they need to learn quicker from their mistakes.

Ishant was pissed off: Kohli

Kohli was also asked about Ishant Sharma whose habit of bowling no-balls deprived him and the team of crucial wickets in the first Test.

Kohli stated that it is not a school team environment here. He revealed that Ishant was the most pissed off  and when the team was celebrating he was really, really angry with himself.

And when they asked him why he said that he cannot afford to bowl a no ball being the senior guy and having played so much cricket in a crunch situation when the umpire could have given that out.
