Don’t need to prove anything to anyone: Kohli

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli feels that when compared with the 2014 tour of Australia, he is now more assured about himself and doesn’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone. He also believes that the Australian team will be aggressive in their minds and that is how they generally play.

 

Have become more assured about myself: Kohli 

The Indian captain was speaking with an Australian radio channel ahead of the first Test against Australia. He said that he thinks from the last time round, he has become more assured of himself, and doesn’t really find the need to prove anything to anyone .

He feels that he doesn’t find the need to get involved in anything with the opposition and thinks that those are changes that keep happening gradually as you go forward.

Australia will be aggressive in their minds :Kohli 

During India’s last tour of Australia, Kohli had a few heated discussions with Aussie bowlers especially with Mitchell Johnson. When asked about it, the Indian batsman said that we might not see the same kind of stuff that happened in the last series. But he thinks in terms of their body language and intent that Australia have, he is sure they are still going to be aggressive in their minds.

 

Focus is to make the team win at any cost: Virat 

The Indian captain noted that this is the way Australia have always played and he doesn’t think there is any other way they like to play their cricket.

At the same time he doesn’t see any incidents happening on the field and thinks that it is going to be competitive cricket. He further added that in the early stage of his career he used to think about important personal milestones but he revealed that now the focus is purely and solely on making the team win at any cost.
