Rohit Sharma reaches hundred with a six: Team India have made a solid comeback in the ongoing fourth Test against England. After getting bowled out for just 191 runs and conceding a first innings lead of 99 runs, India have now taken a fine lead in the second innings on the back of Rohit Sharma’s brilliant batting on Day 3.

During the second session on Day 3, Indian opener Rohit Sharma brought up his first overseas Test hundred with a spectacular six down the ground off Moeen Ali’s bowling. Rohit has shown sensational temperament and composure in the second innings of the Oval Test match to counter the quality England bowling line-up. This is the eight century in the longest format for the Indian opener and the first one away from home.

It has been an innings of pure class and the Indian opener has batted with a lot of responsibility in challenging conditions especially playing with a lot of patience. Rohit would desperately want to convert this century into a much bigger knock. The 34-year-old Indian batsman has already scored more than 300 runs in this Test series that includes two fifties and one century.

India have won back-to-back sessions on Day 3 of the Oval Test match against England as the visitors went into Tea at 199 for 1. Rohit has batted amazingly well for his staggering unbeaten knock of 103 runs off 218 balls that included 12 fours and 1 six. On the other end, Cheteshwar Pujara has also played attacking cricket unlike of his nature as he is currently batting at 48 runs off 97 balls and he has already smashed 7 boundaries. The duo have already added 116 runs for the second wicket partnership and would want to carry on during the final session as well.

India have now taken a healthy lead of 100 runs in the second innings and things haven’t been favourable for the England team as the pitch is looking absolutely flat right now.
