Jadhav you beauty! Twitter hails the hero of Asia Cup finals
Jadhav at the center of India’s thrilling win
India won the Asia Cup for the seventh time after defeating Bangladesh in an agonizingly close match that was dragged till the last ball. And at the center of this thrilling finish was Kedar Jadhav who scored the final run for the nation with an injured leg and incredible calmness.
Kedar Jadhav is only the second batsman in ODI history to win the final with 0 balls remaining. First was Javed Miandad in Sharjah in 1986! #IndvBan

Earlier in the day Jadhav once again proved his effectiveness with the ball as his golden arm broke Bangladesh’s 120 run opening partnership and he also sent back Mushfiqur Rahim, Bangladesh’s best batsman of the series.
Jadhav’s calmness finishes the game for India
The right-hand batsman then walked to the crease with India at 137 for 4 wickets. But he soon injured his leg and was retired hurt. However, Ravindra Jadeja’s wicket in the penultimate over pushed India further back in a chase that went horribly wrong. With 11 runs needed off 16 balls, Jadhav came back to the crease to finish the business.
Interestingly he scored all the remaining runs in singles and doubles when it was anticipated that he would go for the big shots. His innings of 23 runs off 27 balls reflected tremendous calmness under pressure and it left Bangladesh heartbroken as they lost their third Asia Cup final in six years.
Bangladesh bowlers did a fabulous job of defending a meager total of 222 runs against India’s explosive batting line-up but they were done in by Jadhav’s sterling calmness and efforts.
Congratulations India on becoming #AsiaCup Champions. Hats off to Bangladesh for their splendid fight and attitude, for not giving up and playing out of their skins, this despite missing Shakib and Tamim. Special mention to Kedar Jadhav for his grit and commitment #IndvBan

Twitter hails the hero of the finals
Liton Das won the man of the match award for a spectacular century that left India shell-shocked at the beginning of the match. But it was Kedar Jadhav’s miraculous all-around performance that enabled India to cross the line in the end and fans couldn’t stop themselves from praising him.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Jadhav’s all-around brilliance.
