SRH vs KXIP

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s middle order was exposed off against Mumbai Indians in the last encounter as the side collapsed at mere 96 runs on board while chasing a low total of 137 runs. With the next fixture scheduled against Kings XI Punjab at their den – Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Sunrisers must resolve their middle order woes.

Over-dependence on opening pair

The opening duo of J Bairstow and D Warner have turned out to be the most destructive pair of Vivo IPL 2019. The duo has resulted in three hundred plus opening stands so far and has scored runs at 10.38.

However, the scene changes drastically if you remove the two. Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan and Vijay Shankar – who form the SRH middle order – have failed in finishing off things.

The over-dependence on the opening pair was quite evident in a couple of last games.  So, will they bring in Kane Williamson back in the playing11? For that, SRH will have to drop M Nabi who has bowled quite well in the tournament.

Possible line up:

David Warner, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Kane Williamson, Vijay Shankar, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (c), Siddarth Kaul, Shahbaz Nadeem, Sandeep Sharma, Rashid Khan

Kings XI Punjab returns home

After losing out to Chennai Super Kings in Chennai, Kings XI Punjab are back in their den. They faced 22 runs defeat while chasing 161 runs target on a slow surface and would be glad to play in home conditions. The hosts have won both the home games so far in the tournament and would be eyeing a hat-trick of wins tomorrow.

Possible line up:

Lokesh Rahul (wk), Andrew Tye, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Mandeep Singh, David Miller, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin (c), Murugan Ashwin, Sarfaraz Khan, Sam Curran
