MS Dhoni’s wicket my favorite: Hasan Ali

Hasan Ali looking forward to bowling against Dhoni 

Pakistan pace bowler Hasan Ali has said that getting out MS Dhoni in the finals of the Asia cup is his favorite wicket so far. The seamer said that last time he took three wickets in the Champions Trophy final, and his favorite was MS Dhoni’s wicket. He also added that he is looking forward to bowling against him again.

Ali was speaking with an online cricket portal ahead of the match between India and Pakistan on September 19 in the ongoing Asia Cup.

The last time India and Pakistan played each other, it was the finals of the Champions Trophy where Pakistan routed Inda by 180 runs. Ali played a vital role in the game as he claimed three wickets in the middle overs to ensure the terrific start given by Mohammad Amir wasn’t wasted. He got rid of former India captain MS Dhoni, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah to give Pakistan their first victory over arch-rivals India in an ICC event.

Hasan regards fitness as important 

Hasan Ali is currently the number one ranked bowler in ODIs and is known as a massive threat during middle overs. He is also known as a fitness freak which is evident from the fact that he recently outscored Virat Kohli in the yo-yo test which is regarded as the benchmark for fitness standards.

Talking about fitness, Hasan Ali said that he plays all three formats and he also noted that fitness is important to perform consistently at a certain level. And that is the reason why he has been focusing on his fitness.

Hasan Ali, Pakistan’s ace weapon

In an already powerful bowling unit of Pakistan, Hasan Ali’s ability to restrict runs in the middle overs make him a special weapon. The pace bowler has claimed 70 wickets so far in just 34 ODI matches and has an impressive economy rate of just 5.15 runs per over.
