In a recent interview, Shoaib Malik revealed that he was discussing a dropped catch involving Saeed Ajmal with the Indian cricketers.
This incident of the dropped catch occurred during an ODI match between Pakistan and Windies. Chris Gayle mistimed a stroke and the ball went in the air. Malik and Ajmal both went for the catch and positioned themselves underneath the ball.
It seemed like Ajmal had positioned himself perfectly and hence Malik backed out at the last moment. However, Ajmal too backed out and in the end, the ball dropped between the two fielders.
The Pakistan cricketer stated that Virat asked him what did Ajmal say after dropping the catch? To this Shoaib responded that Ajmal told him that he crouched on the ground to take the catch just in case Shoaib drops it. And this response made everyone laugh during the presentation ceremony.
