Merciless. This word sums up South Africa’s stunning performance in the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka. The hosts have clearly dominated all the ODIs so far and are looking set to hand Sri Lanka a white-wash.

On the other hand, the visitors will be looking for a consolation win which will atleast boost their morale ahead of the World Cup.

Here are the top three fantasy picks for the SA vs SL 5th ODI.

#3. JP Duminy-

The left-hander is making a comeback in the team through this ODI series and will be itching to make a mark before the World Cup starts.

He may not get ample opportunities to showcase his batting prowess thanks to South Africa’s strong top-order but Duminy can be expected to play the finisher’s role.

Importantly his part-time off-spin will play a key role in this contest. He will be used in the middle overs to control the run-rate and at the same time he has the ability to pick up a few wickets as well.

#2. Faf du Plessis-

The South African captain hasn’t scored a fifty in his last two innings which is rare considering his stunning batting form and he will be eager to score another big innings in the final game of the series.

du Plessis has remained unscratched by Sri Lanka’s spinners and hence he is a key batsman for the hosts during the middle overs.

#1. Quinton de Kock-

This is a no brainer. The ODI series belongs to the opening batsman. He averages 86.75 in this series and has scored a fifty in every innings he has batted.

And with the form he is in, he may will get another big score in the last ODI. Sri Lanka will also be worried by the way de Kock is scoring his runs. The South African batsman has hammered the pacers in the Power play with disdain and has neutralized the spinners with his sweeps.

Can Sri Lanka finally find a way to stop him?
