Siddarth Kaul who is representing Punjab in Vijay Hazare Trophy will miss out next few games along with Ravindra Jadeja who is playing for Saurashtra. Siddharth Kaul took 4-55 in the first encounter against Himachal Pradesh to handover 35 runs win to his side while Ravindra Jadeja had an average outing against Uttar Pradesh in the first match.

Punjab will face Vidarbha at Alur on Friday morning while Saurashtra will take on Hyderabad in Round 4 on Sunday morning.

Both the players have been named as replacements in India’ Asia Cup 2018 squad and will miss out from their respective sides. Siddharth Kaul will replace Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja will replace Axar Patel. Kaul was named as Shardul Thakur’s replacement after the pacer experienced soreness in right hip after the Hong Kong game. Ravindra Jadeja has been named as Axar Patel’s replacement after the all-rounder sustained an injury to his left index finger while fielding during Pakistan’s game.

There’s one more replacement in the Indian squad after Pakistan’s game. Hardik Pandya, who encountered an acute lower back spasm, has been ruled out from the Asia Cup 2018 and Deepak Chahar has been named as the replacement. Pandya suffered an acute lower back spasm during the 18th over against Pakistan and is undergoing treatment and assessment by the BCCI medical team.

Deepak Chahar made his debut against England after an impressive IPL season where he bagged 10 wickets in 12 games with an economy of 7.28. Ravindra Jadeja who is currently 4th spot holder in ICC Player Rankings in Test Cricket is making an ODI comeback after a hiatus of 1 year. He last played an ODI in July 2017 against West Indies. Siddharth Kaul has played two ODIs for India with zero scalps.

All the three will join India on Thursday in UAE. Having won their both opening games against Hong Kong and Pakistan, India have advanced to the Super Four stage that starts on Friday.
