The Test series between Australia and India has seen some epic sledging. Wicket-keepers Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant have led this department but now Nathan Lyon has joined the bandwagon by sledging Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara.

 

Aren’t you bored yet?: Lyon asks Pujara 

The incident happened on the first day of the Sydney Test. Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara once again tormented the Aussie bowlers to produce his third hundred of the series.

Nathan Lyon who was at the receiving end of Pujara’s onslaught got frustrated and while going back to his run-up asked the Indian batsman that isn’t he bored yet?

Pujara faced 250 balls and batted all three sessions on day one. The Indian batsman has played more than 1000 balls in this series and has slammed three hundreds. This sensational performance by the right-hand batsman has surely frustrated the Australian team.

Lyon’s hilarious comment was heard by the stump mic. In response, Pujara just smiled at Lyon and continued to bat.

India on top after another Pujara special

Despite losing the first wicket in the first over itself, India dominated the first day of the fourth Test. Mayank Agarwal produced yet another half-century to cement his place at the top of the order while India’s number three batsman continued his purple patch.

Although India lost Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane cheaply, some solid batting by Hanuma Vihari in the last hour of the day and his partnership with Pujara enabled India to reach to 303 at stumps on day one.

With this hundred, the Indian batsman completed 18 centuries in Test cricket and has also achieved the rare feat of scoring three hundreds in one series. He also faced more than 1000 balls in a series for the second time in his career.
