Indian captain Virat Kohli certainly has a job to do with the bat in the Test series against Australia but he is also keeping himself ready to bowl a few overs as he practiced his bowling skills in the warm-up match against Cricket Australia XI.
The Indian captain took the ball in his hands in the 87th over of Cricket Australia XI’s innings as frontline Indian bowlers failed to make an impact.
Kohli bowled only two overs and conceded six runs. The Indian cricketer bowled medium-pace deliveries to the Aussie duo of Aaron Hardy and Harry Neilson but failed to trouble them.

Kohli has rarely bowled in international cricket. He has bowled only nine times in 73 Tests so far and his figures aren’t impressive. He has delivered 163 balls conceding 76 runs and has failed to claim any wickets.
However, he has four wickets in ODIs but every wicket has costed him 166.25 runs.
Team India had a tough day in the field on Saturday as CAXI’s batsmen toiled India. They posted 356 runs at the end of the day while Indian bowlers picked only six wickets.
Four batsmen from the Aussie team scored half-centuries to make things difficult for India. Mohammad Shami was the most successful Indian bowler as he picked three wickets in his 18 overs. On the other hand, Umesh Yadav picked only one wicket in 22 overs while Ishant Sharma went wicketless in 16 overs.
Off-spinner R Ashwin was the most economical bowler. He gave away just 63 runs in 24 overs.
India will now take on Australia in the first Test at Adelaide on December 06th.
