Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Indian Premier League 2020, Match 8
Date & Time: 26 September, 2020 at 7:30PM IST
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Both teams who are yet to register a win in IPL 2020 will lock horns with each other in Abu Dhabi. KKR and SRH had a dismal show with both the bat and ball in the last match and will be hoping to bounce back. SRH is heavily dependent on Warner and Bairstow to score the bulk of their runs, without timely contribution from the rest of the teammates this would prove to be a herculean task for these two. KKR on the other hand has a well-balanced squad but decided to field an un-orthodox eleven in the last match. If they can get their best eleven on the field today, they stand a better chance to defeat SRH. If you are in for online IPL betting, place your money on KKR.

Kolkata Knight Riders to win this match
Head to Head (overall)
Head to Head (in UAE)
Going into this match both teams have a lot of problems to address. The most important among which is team selection. SRH who had a dismal show with both bat and ball will have to make significant changes to their batting line-up. Despite having enough bench strength they decided to field one of the least favourable combination in the last match against RCB. With Marsh being ruled out due to injury, either of Kane Williamson or Mohammad Nabi is expected to replace him in the eleven. This is expected to provide much-needed support to the weakened middle order. Along with that either of Virat Singh or Abdul Samad, who can provide the power game is expected to fill in for young Priyam Garg. In the bowling front, the only expected change is Khaleel Ahmed coming in for Natarajan. Even after all these changes, SRH’s chances depend heavily on the bulk contribution from their openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. If they don’t fire, SRH doesn’t stand a chance.
Another team that stunned everyone with their team selection was KKR. With lots of options available at stake, they too fielded a less favourable eleven. Despite failing in the first match, their power-packed batting line-up is expected to be retained for the next match as well. Their bowlers were all over the place in the last match and hence it calls for much-needed support in that department. And as for that fast bowling all-rounder, Kamlesh Nagarkoti is expected to fill in at number seven ahead of Nikhil Naik, who is a complete misfit in that eleven. With Pat Cummins firing in with the bat, this change is most likely to happen. On paper, they have a fairly good team and should be able to outcast SRH. But if the bowling is to remain on the same page as that of the last match, then they’ll be taken to cleaners by Warner and co.

Dew once again is going to a decisive factor in the toss. As Dhoni said yesterday, even though 6 out of 7 matches were won by the team batting first, the teams are expected to not lend an eye to that stat and will be keen to respect the conditions at stake. Hence captain winning the toss is still expected to field first. The wicket has even covering of grass and could assist both seamers and spinners equally. Anything below 150 should be easy to chase down.
Predicted Score:
If Kolkata Knight Riders bat first: 160-170
If Sunrisers Hyderabad bat first: 140-150
