After the months of the speculations, the biggest T20 carnival in the world is back. The IPL began with a bang with CSK taking on MI in the opening game on Saturday evening. It is time for the 2nd game as Delhi Capitals would take on Kings XI Punjab in the 2nd game of the competition on Sunday. Delhi Capitals transformed themselves into genuine title contenders last season and would be looking to take one step further this season by lifting the title. Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, also made some tweaks and handed over the reins to the legendary Anil Kumble. They would also be eyeing a strong season as they have done well in the UAE in the past. Let’s take a look at the DC vs KXIP key players who could change the course of the game.
In the last 24 months, KL Rahul has emerged as one of the best white-ball batsmen in the world. Rahul had a fantastic season last year with the Kings from Punjab with the bat and he only would be looking to take his game to a notch higher. He also would be having the added responsibility of the captaincy which is going to motivate him further.

Alongside his explosive batting, Maxwell is a handy off-spinner as well who would be bowling a lot with the long boundaries in the UAE grounds.

Delhi Capitals would be pinning their hopes on the shoulders of the dynamic Rishabh Pant as he is one of the senior players now in the team. He scored 488 runs during the last season at a strike rate of almost 163. He would be looking to at least repeat his numbers from the last season.

The young South African pacer would be leading the bowling charge for Delhi Capitals once again. He was in the tremendous form during the last season and Delhi would once again be having high hopes from him. He picked up 25 wickets in 12 games during the last season but missed on the Purple Cap. He would be looking to earn that coveted cap this time around.

Ravi Ashwin: The senior pro was traded to Delhi Capitals by Kings XI Punjab. He is a witty customer and likes to bowl in the powerplay as well. He would be eyeing a return to the limited-overs side with a great IPL in 2020.
Chris Gayle: Can you keep the Universe Boss out of the game, Eh? He is the greatest T20 Batsman of all time and if gets going then KXIP would be a team to watch out for.
Shikhar Dhawan: Gabbar is back with his home franchise. He would be looking to make the most of it by notching up the regular big scores.
Nicholas Pooran: He is coming back to the IPL on the back off a good CPL 2020 where he became the only batsman to notch up a hundred.
