There’s only one clash scheduled to take place. India Women will face off the in-form England Women in the 6th fixture of Women’s T20 Tri-series in India, 2018. While it is a dead match, India women will try hard to win tomorrow’s clash. They have not registered a single win in this series and are out of the finals. The final will be played between Australia Women and England Women on 31st March.
India women are struggling for a long time. They were whitewashed by Australia Women in the recently concluded ODI series and have failed to win a match in this tri-series. They would be desperately looking for a win.
On the other hand, England looked the strongest amongst the others but in their last encounter with Australia, the whole team scattered like cards. They would be seeing this game before the final as an opportunity to regain their confidence. So, here are the key players for tomorrow’s match-
For India, opener Smriti Mandhana, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, and Mithali Raj will have to take the charge with the bat. While Mandhana has scored two fifties in two games, Mithali Raj and youngster Jemimah Rodrigues have hit one-one half centuries.
In bowling, Jhulan Goswami has made a good comeback. She is the leading wicket-taker for India in this series. She has taken 5 wickets in 3 matches. Anuja Patil, Deepti Sharma, and Pooja Vastrakar need to put in some extra effort.
For England, all the eyes will be on opener Danielle Wyatt, Tammy Beaumont, and all-rounder Natalie Sciver. They have been contributing with the bat. While Wyatt scored a century against India, Tammy Beaumont and Nat Sciver scored half-centuries against Australia.
In bowling, Jenny Gunn, Natalie Sciver, Tash Farrant and Sophie Ecclestone will play a crucial role. Jenny Gunn took 3 wickets in the second match against Australia while Natalie Sciver took 2 wickets in the same.
