India Women and England women will play three ODI matches from April 6-April 12. The first ODI will be played tomorrow at Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Nagpur. Both the teams face each other in the recently concluded Women’s T20 Tri-series in India, 2018. Australia Women was the third nation and won the final against England Women by 57 runs and named the tri-series.
England Women also played a practice match against India A Women on Tuesday. The visitors won the game by 4 wickets. Both the teams have announced their squad ahead of the first match. While England has named three uncapped players India has named an uncapped Tamil all-rounder Dayalan Hemalatha.

Danielle Wyatt (43) and Tammy Beaumont (52) looked in good touch with the bat for England in the practice match. Both were retired out. Natalie Sciver also scored 31 off 28 deliveries. In bowling, Sophie Ecclestone took 2 wickets at an economy of 3.00 while Anya Shrubsole and Kate Cross shared 1 wicket each.
For India, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Madhana will have to charge with the bat. Both are the top scorers for India in the recent matches. While Harmanpreet Kaur has an average above 40, Mandhana has scored with an average of around 35. In the practice match, Devika Vaidya scored 104 off 150 deliveries. She can also help in putting runs on the scoreboard.
In bowling, Jhulan Goswami will play a crucial role. She was the leading wicket-taker for India in the tri-series. Poonam Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar will have to show their support to Goswami.
