Windies is on a tour to Pakistan. They will play 3 T20Is in Karachi from April 01 – 03. The management has named a completely new squad which lacks a lot of senior and experienced players. Jason Mohammed has been given the responsibility to lead the team.

Windies had a wonderful outing in the recently concluded ICC World Cup Qualifies 2018. West Indies along with Afghanistan has managed to qualify for the ICC World CUP 2019 scheduled to take place in England and Wales. A full team effort helped Windies to achieve the feat. However, regular skipper Carlos Braithwaite, Jason Holder, Chris Gayle and Devendra Bishoo have opted to stay out of the series due to their security concerns.

The 13-member WI squad includes 4 uncapped players- Andre McCarthy, Odean Smith, Keemo Paul and Veerasammy Permaul while Pakistan too has named 4 uncapped players based on their attention-grabbing performance in the PSL – Hussain Talat, Asif Ali, Shaheen Afridi and Rahat Ali.

So, let’s have a look at the key players for tomorrow’s clash-

WI vs PAK 1st T20I

Newbies Asif Ali, Hussain Talat, and Saheen Afridi have got the call for T20I after their notable performances in the PSL 2018. All the four players are in a good form. While Hussain Talat and Asif Ali have grabbed attention due to their batting prowess, Shaheen Afridi has done wonders with the ball. They are in a good form and their performances will definitely make a difference for Pakistan. Apart from them, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik, skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and pacer Muhammad Amir’s performance will too count for the hosts.

For the visitors, facing Pakistan with a new and inexperienced squad will be a tough task. The only experienced Marlon Samuels, Samuel Badree, and Denesh Ramdin will have to take the charge and lead in front. Uncapped pacer Keemo Paul had a wonderful tournament and looked promising in World Cup Qualifiers.
