In the next 24 hours, there are four matches lined-up which includes two matches of Karnataka Premier League, 2nd T20I between Ireland and Afghanistan and the last match of the day would be the match of Caribbean Premier League between Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Tallawahs.
Bellary Tuskers vs Hubli Tigers:
This match would be played at the KSCA Cricket Ground, Hubli and this is going to be the first day game of this edition of KPL.
Bellary Tuskers will be playing their third game and are yet to open their account. Their batting will be revolved around Devdutt Padikkal and Rohan Kadam who have got 79 and 90 runs respectively from the two games they have played. If we talk about the bowling, they will heavily rely on the services of Kazi Abrar and Pradeep T who have got 6 wickets between them from two games.
The Hubli Tigers have been on a roll with a win percentage of 100 so far. This would be their 3rd game of this season and they would be eyeing a hat-trick of wins. Their batting mainstays would be Mohammad Taha who got a brilliant 62 in the opening game, he missed out in the last game but still would be their prime batsman. On the bowling front, Mahesh Patel B M has been exceptional and is the standout performer with 5 wickets from 2 innings.
Bengaluru Blasters vs Bijapur Bulls:
This would be the second game of the day in KPL 2018 and the two teams involving in this affair will be Bengaluru Blasters and Bijapur Bulls.
The Blasters are currently at the top of the ladder with 2 wins from 2 games and they have been exceptional. Their skipper has been magnificent with the bat and surely leading from the front with 82 runs in 2 innings. All-rounder Arshdeep Singh Brar has got 80 to his name from 2 innings and Vishwanathan M has also scored 60. In the bowling department, M S Bhandage has relished the most with 6 wickets to his name in just 2innings.
For Bijapur Bulls, Naveen M scored 44 in the only games they have played so far while experienced lads like Bharath Chipli and Naga Bharath would be the key batters for the Bulls. Bowling would be led by KC Cariappa, Suneel Raju and RG More who were among the wickets in their opening game.
Ireland vs Afghanistan:
This would be the second T20I between the two sides after the visitors registered a 16 run victory over the home side in style
Ireland would bank heavily on the services of Paul Stirling and Stuart Thompson with the bat. Skipper Gary Wilson who was the lone warrior with the bat in the last game with 33 runs to his name will be looking to continue his decent form.
In the bowling department, Joshua Little made a fine back into the T20 side with 2 wickets for just 20 runs he will be aided with the spin duo of Simi Singh and George Dockrell.
Afghanistan had a fine start in the opening game with Hazratullah Zazai blazing guns with a fantastic knock of 74 runs from 33 deliveries, he would be pipped for one more good knock like the one he delivered other-day. Mohammad Shahzad, skipper Asghar Stanikzai and Samiullah Shenwari are others who are some serious batting talent in this setup.
The spin duo of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan scalped 5 wickets among them, Aftab Alam too came in to join the party with 2 scalps to his name. Therefore, these three would be the key bowlers for Afghanistan.
Barbados Tridents vs Jamaica Tallawahs:
In the 14th game of the CPL 2018, Barbados Tridents would be up against Jamaica Tallawahs and this will also be the last game at Lauderhill, Florida.
The tridents are currently sitting at the fourth position having played 2 games and winning one of them. Their key batsmen would be Shai Hope who scored a blistering 82 in the first game while Nicholas Pooranqa Hashim Amla are the others who can come good with the bat. Meanwhile, with the ball, Raymon Reifer who has already taken a 5-fer in the opening game against Guyana Amazon Warriors will be the key bowler.
Jamaica Tallawahs have their skipper Andre Russell in terrific form with both bat and ball as he as already got a hat-trick against TKR and a swashbuckling 100 in the same match. On the other hand, wicket-keeper batsman Glenn Phillips has been the highest run-getter for Jamaica so far with an aggregate of 228 runs.
