Stuart Broad, one of England’s all-time best pacemen, has an odd fascination with the number three. When he arrives to bowl, he warms up by marking his run-up three times and bowling three balls. In the locker area, he even laces his boots three times.

“It’s a strange superstition but something in the number three makes me feel safe. I do three sprays of aftershave before I go on the field”.
