The 31st and second match of the UAE-leg of the IPL 2021 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders are taking place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat, however, the decision didn’t turn out to be a good one as KKR bowlers are all over the batsmen and have sent more than half of the RCB side back in the dugout.
After losing skipper Virat Kohli in the second over of the game, Devdutt Padikkal and KS Bharat stitched 31 runs for the second wicket and it seemed that RCB is all set for a big total with Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers to follow.
However, wickets fell at both the end and among the wickets so far, the wicket of AB de Villiers was the most crucial as he could’ve turned the game towards RCB in quick succession of time.
Mr. 360 AB de Villiers came out to bat, after the wicket of KS Bharat, however his stay at the crease by cut short by Andre Russell who sent him back to the dressing room for a golden duck. The pacer bowled a sensational Yorker on leg-stump that was very full and was angling into the right-hander. The ball went through his legs, clipped his back-pad and then went on to hit the stumps.
Here’s the video:
Royal Challengers Bangalore are in all sorts of trouble as all the big guns including Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell are back in the dressing room. The Virat Kohli-led side has lost 9 wickets. With Mohammad Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal at the crease, it remains to be seen whether they can cross the 100-run mark or not.
