After the 5-wicket loss against Pakistan, India dented their chances of qualifying for the final. However, for them to play the summit clash they need to win their matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. A loss for them would mean that they will be eliminated.
India also needs to win one match by a big margin so that if the net run rate comes into play, they can get passed through easily. If Pakistan manages to win Sri Lanka and if India wins both their matches, they will easily. However, if the Island nation defeats Pakistan then NRR will come into play.
