AUS vs ENG 2021: In a recent development, Australia have announced their playing 11 for the Ashes 2021-22 second Test match against England scheduled to begin from 16 December at the Adelaide Oval. The second game of the five-match Test series will be a day-night fixture and this will be only second pink ball Test match in the history of the Ashes. Australia registered a convincing 9-wicket victory over England in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Earlier it was revealed that right-arm pacer Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the second Test against England due to side strain. Australian captain Pat Cummins has now confirmed that Jhye Richardson has been included in the playing 11 while David Warner who was struggling with a rib injury, has been termed fit for the day-night Test match in Adelaide. The rest of the members of the playing XI remains the same from the opening Test match at The Gabba.

On the other side, the visiting England team have also named a 12-member squad for the second Ashes Test match against Australia. Senior fast bowler James Anderson has returned to the side after recovering well from the calf injury that ruled him out of the opening Test match while Mark Wood has been rested for this day-night fixture. England all-rounder Ben Stokes has also been termed fit after sustaining an injury during the opening match.
