Mitchell Starc AUS vs ENG: In a massive breaking news development, Australia’s senior speedster Mitchell Starc is not playing the third and final ODI encounter against England scheduled to be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. Australia managed to win the series after having registered a smashing 72-run victory over England in the second ODI. The hosts also won the opening match by a margin of 6 wickets.
After having lost the toss and being asked to bat first, Australian skipper Pat Cummins revealed that Mitchell Starc is not part of the playing 11 for this third ODI against England. The big news is that the home team have only rested their premier pace bowler before the Test series against West Indies. Incidentally, Starc bowled remarkably well during the second ODI against England where he picked up excellent match-winning figures of 4 for 47 in his 8 overs that included two early scalps in the very first over of the second innings. Australia have included right-arm seamer Sean Abbott in the playing XI for this game.
1. David Warner 2. Travis Head 3. Marnus Labuschagne 4. Steve Smith 5. Alex Carey (wk) 6. Marcus Stoinis 7. Mitchell Marsh 8. Pat Cummins (C) 9. Sean Abbott 10. Josh Hazlewood 11. Adam Zampa
