BAN Playing 11: Bangladesh and Australia will face off in the last T20I of the series here at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. This has been a series of low scores with 130 looking like a winning one. Bangladesh have made full use of home conditions with their spinners leading the way. The series win will definitely give them confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup though they still have some work to do in the batting department. In the head-to-head record in T20Is, Australia leads Bangladesh 5-3.

Team News

Bangladesh have gone unchanged throughout the series. They could make some changes here.

  • Mohammad Mithun could replace a struggling Soumya Sarkar at the top.
  • Mustafizur Rahman can be rested which could mean a return for Rubel Hossain.

BAN Playing 11 (likely)

Mohammad Naim
Soumya Sarkar/ Mohammad Mithun
Shakib Al Hasan
Mahmudullah (C)
Afif Hossain
Nurul Hasan (wk)
Shamim Hossain
Mahedi Hasan
Nasum Ahmed
Shoriful Islam
Rubel Hossain

The hosts needs to sort out their batting problems at the earliest. Their top order has struggled to Australian pacers throughout the series. Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan have been inconsistent so far though the pitches have been difficult. Bowlers have shined with spinner Mahedi Hasan consistently bowling well with the new ball. The biggest positive, though, has been Mustafizur Rahman’s performance whose wily cutters have looked unplayable.
