Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel were rewarded with B contract as all of them are part of all the formats.
The discarded all rounder Hardik Pandya is in C category. Though he has been out of the action for a long time, he is irreplaceable in the squad and he will walk into the team as far as white ball is concerned when he is in form. The Indian team management will be having a close eye on Hardik Pandya’s fitness and performance in this year’s IPL as his spot in the Indian side is still up for grabs though Venkatesh Iyer has been impressive in the opportunities he has got so far.
