Bhuvneshwar Kumar IPL Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Rajasthan Royals in match 28 of the IPL 2021 on 2nd May. The appointment of Kane Williamson as the skipper has hogged all the limelight so when both teams take the field at 7:30 PM all attention will be on David Warner. Fans and cricket experts are keen to know whether SRH drops Warner and plays Jason Roy or Jason Holder in his place. However, there is another important question for SRH to answer: Will Bhunveshwar Kumar play this very important match?
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the leader of SRH’s pace attack. He can make the new ball talk and is extremely difficult to score against during Powerplays. Hence he is an impact player for SRH. However, the right-arm pacer is battling with injuries.
Bhuvi missed the last two games due to injuries. But it seems he is recovering and according to reports, he has started bowling in the nets. This means he should be available for the RR vs SRH match. Bhuvneshwar could replace pacer one among Sandeep Sharma and Siddharth Kaul.
S Sharma has played 2 games in this season so far and has been wicket-lees. S Kaul meanwhile has fared better and has claimed 3 wickets in 3 games.
Apart from his fitness, B Kumar’s form is also a cause of concern for SRH. Bhuvi has played 4 games this season and has picked only 3 wickets. Importantly he has leaked runs in the death overs and his overall economy rate is 9.06. He is also averaging a whopping 45.33 per wicket.
IPL 2021 has been a disastrous season for SRH. The franchise is at the bottom of the points table and has won only 1 of the 6 games.
The management has decided to make wholesome changes in a desperate bid to change things around. They have asked K Williamson to lead the side and have sacked D Warner from captaincy. The franchise has also stated that they will make changes in their overseas players combination against RR.
